When women come together, they change the world

On a crisp autumn day in 2019, a conversation between two friends sparked a movement. Martha Raupp, with a long-standing passion for supporting women in leadership, was listening to a story she’d heard too many times: the journey to becoming a CFO, while a tremendous achievement, can also be an isolating one—especially for women.

Despite increasing representation, women still hold a small fraction of top finance roles. As of 2025, women hold only 17% CFO roles in Fortune 500 companies1, and globally, just 23% of newly appointed CFOs in Q1 2025 were women2.

While progress is being made, the path to the top remains steep and often solitary. That’s where the Women CFO Network began—with a simple but powerful idea: to create a space where women CFOs could connect, share, and grow together.

What started as an organic gathering of like-minded women has evolved into a vibrant, supportive community. We focus on three core pillars:

  • Networking: Building meaningful, peer-level relationships in a space where women can speak freely and support one another.

  • Professional Development: Sharing insights, strategies, and expertise to help each other thrive in the CFO role.

  • Personal Development: Recognizing that leadership is not just about skills, but also about resilience, confidence, and continuous growth.

Today, the Women CFO Network is growing internationally, connecting women leaders across borders and industries. Our mission is to ensure that no woman CFO ever feels alone at the top.
